Benjamin Elliott Bloom brings nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, community engagement, marketing, and organizational management. Throughout his career, he has worked to strengthen communities by building meaningful relationships, developing impactful programs, and connecting people with opportunities to serve.
Benjamin's professional background spans the Jewish communal world, state government, tourism, and business development. He previously served with the Savannah Jewish Federation, where he helped lead annual fundraising efforts exceeding $1 million, developed community programming, managed communications, and expanded outreach initiatives. He also served with Hillel of Memphis, helping engage college students while supporting fundraising and organizational growth.
More recently, Benjamin has served the State of Alabama in leadership and administrative roles with the 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, where he has overseen operations, marketing, purchasing, volunteer management, and organizational support while building strong partnerships throughout the region.
Benjamin earned a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership from Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion and a Bachelor of Science in Travel and Tourism Management, graduating cum laude from Johnson & Wales University.
A longtime member of Springhill Avenue Temple and an active volunteer in the Mobile and Eastern Shore communities, Benjamin is passionate about strengthening Jewish life, building lasting partnerships, and ensuring organizations remain vibrant for future generations.
